Statement
My work is influenced by the colours and light of South Africa where I grew up. Initially that landscape featured a great deal in my work, particularly of the mountains I climbed as a child. My subject matter has now broadened but colour is still a very important element in my work.
One of my paintings is in the collection of the Oncology Centre of the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, U.S.A. A monoprint and painting were selected for the Discerning Eye Exhibition in November 2000 and a painting was selected for the Royal West of England Academy Open Exhibition 2001 in Bristol.
